How To

What is a "Battery Pack" and how can it be replaced?

Your drone's main power source is the battery pack. They provide enough power to keep your quadcopter flying smoothly and safely.

The difference in the battery pack between a drone you already own and a new one that you purchase will not be noticeable. However, the battery pack will eventually wear down. It might eventually stop functioning altogether. To ensure your drone continues to operate properly, you'll have to replace its battery pack.

It's better to use the original battery pack when replacing it. Otherwise, you risk damaging your drone by installing a faulty battery pack.

These are the steps you need to follow in order to replace a dead battery pack.

  1. Disconnect your battery connector cable. This step ensures that your drone doesn't receive any electrical current. You can simply remove the battery connector cable from your drone to disconnect it.
  2. Unscrew the battery pack. Take the battery pack out of the bottom part of your quadcopter. The battery pack is usually split into two pieces.
  3. Find the battery contacts. After you have removed the battery pack from the drone, locate the contacts. These small metal pins connect the battery to the rest of the components inside the drone.
  4. Install the new battery. Next, you will need to install the battery into the drone. To do so, align the battery connectors on both sides of the battery pack. Push the battery pack onto your drone. Once you have done that, tighten the bolts that hold your battery pack in its place.
  5. Reattach the battery connector cables. Reconnect the battery connector cable after you have installed the new battery pack.
  6. The drone should be tested. Make sure your drone is still working properly before you take it out again. If it does, congratulations!
