Iran's drone program is inspired by the Predator, which is an American Air Force model. The Shahed 129 aircraft, which was modeled on the Predator, was launched in 2010. Iran also built a new runway at Jakigur in 2015. One of the few drones that was named after an American action figure, Shahed 129, was also one.

Mohajer-2

The Mohajer-2 is an improved version of the Mohajer that is more capable in operational range and navigation. The Iranian Air Force created the Mohajer-2, which took over the production of the original Mohajer. The Mohajer-2 was 9.6 feet long and 12.5 feet wide. Its propulsion system incorporated a WAE-342 series 2-stroke engine that produced 25 horsepower and a pusher propeller. It had straight mainplanes close to the midships with clipped wing tips.

Iranian authorities have converted their Mohajers Ababils and Mohajers to advanced UAVs. UN Peacekeepers quizzed Iran's government over the presence of drones near Sudan in 2008. In 2008, Iran replied that the drones are Zagils. Two of the drones were shot down by rebels in Sudan. The Mohajer-2 UAVs were then acquired by Venezuela, which has not been able to detect them.

Karrar interceptor

The Karrar Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles and one-way missiles is called. Its wing design makes it possible to operate at high speed and altitude. It can perform both missions and take images of targets to record for ground control systems. It can also carry munitions. The unitary bomb weighs 500 lbs and the weapon it carries is smaller. Both the Israelis and the drones nearby would be killed if they were to shoot it down.

The Karrar unmanned aircraft vehicle is a clone the Beechcraft MQM-107 Streaker. It was a military target used by the United States and exported to Iran during the Shah's regime. The Iranians reverseengineered the aircraft in order to create the Karrar. It can fly at 500 mph and can carry 250-pound anti-ship missiles as well as a GPS-guided missile or small cruise missile.
