How To

Repairing A Drone's Damaged Motor

First, identify the broken part of the motor to repair it. This is easiest to do by removing the propeller from its shaft. Then you should remove any wires attached to the motor and look at the inner workings of the motor itself. If you find something wrong, it is time to identify the problem.

If there are no damages to the motor you don't have too much to worry about. However, if your motor looks anything like these images, then you will need some parts replaced before you can fly.

Let's say that a motor is bent so that it can no longer turn. The motor must be bent again. You could use a vice grip or a pair of pliers to hold the motor while bending it back into shape. Once you've done this, make sure to check the motor thoroughly for signs of wear.

Once you are satisfied with everything, mount the propeller on the motor shaft. Reattach the wires. Your drone is now ready for flight!
