Drones can be used to fight ISIS

The United States, Russia and other countries all want more modern aircraft. However, Ukraine doesn't have the same resources as the United States to train its soldiers to fly these aircraft. While the Ukrainians do have training on aircraft and vehicles in Western countries like Germany, they are not able to get the same training on drones in Ukraine. The Ukrainians are used a lot to trucks and older equipment, so drones are much easier for them to use. Drones are also easy to use for soldiers because they don't need "pilots". Drones can also be used in a similar way to video games.

Aerorozvidka

The Ukrainian military uses a unique approach to combating ISIS in eastern Ukraine: octocopters equipped with thermal cameras for nighttime missions. Some drones can be fitted with antitank weapons and can even light up columns. These drones can carry up to 11 lbs worth of payload and are extremely maneuverable. Because they are small, drones can be flown low and over targets to drop munitions.

Aerorozvidka started out as an IT enthusiast organization. Today, Aerorozvidka is a military-grade air reconnaissance unit. Aerorozvidka started out as a civilian drone business. Over time, however, it has evolved to a full-fledged unit that is headed by its own leader. Because of export controls, the Ukrainian government barred Russian military aircraft from entering the country. Aerorozvidka is dependent on crowdfunding and donations to support its operations, since many components of drones are made in the US.

Switchblade

The U.S. military has supplied Ukraine with armed "Switchblade," drones capable of striking Russian tanks from faraway. This unmanned aerial vehicle was developed by the US Air Force to meet Ukrainian requirements. John Kirby from the Pentagon stated that over 121 of these machines were being sent to Ukraine. There is not yet any information about how the Switchblades are used in the conflict with Ukraine.

The Switchblade is a small drone with a 40-kilometer range. It can be launched from a tube. The Switchblade can hit Russian convoys from 6 miles away, unlike Bayraktar drones. These small aircraft are easy to set up during conflicts like the Ukraine. The Switchblade's speed is faster than that of the Bayraktar. This is the current U.S. Ally.

Russian kamikaze drones

The US recently announced a military aid package worth $800 million to Ukraine. Part of that package is the delivery of 121 unmanned aircraft, called "Phoenix Ghosts," which are intended to terrorize Russian forces. These unmanned aircraft are designed to fly over large areas for between 30 and 40 minutes. They are equipped both with warheads as well as cameras. Switchblade is one such drone. It's a hovering munition measuring 5.5 pounds, and it can eliminate armored vehicles as well as tanks.

These small, lightweight aircrafts have a powerful, low flying gimbal that allows them to fly from air, land or sea. In a conflict like this, any advantage an opponent has over the other side in the aerial battle is important, and the use of Russian kamikaze drones is a direct threat to that advantage. This capability will likely be key to Ukraine's military, as it can easily break Russian sieges and attack command-and-control nodes. This capability would be a big liability for both parties, but Ukraine could emerge victorious if a small drone makes a difference on battlefield.

U.S. loitering drones

Russia has begun integrating its ZALA KYB loitering munitions into the military arsenal of the country. These drones have the ability to use deadly loitering munition in the style of bazookas. These autonomous killing machines may be more common in black markets if loitering drones are used. However, observers and pundits worry about this. So what can the U.S. Do to prevent this?

Kirby claims that the U.S. government sent more than 121 Switchblade loitering helicopters to Ukraine in order to aid Kiev against Russian forces. The Switchblade drone, which weighs in at 5.5 lbs, can hover over an area for 30 to 40 minutes. It's equipped with a camera. It has the mission to take down opposition forces in Ukraine.

How To

Repairing a damaged motor on a drone

First, identify the broken part of the motor to repair it. To do this, remove the propeller and motor shaft. Next, remove all wires from the motor shaft and inspect the internal workings. If you see something wrong, then you know what part of the motor you have to fix.

If there is no damage to the motor, then you don't have to worry too much however if the motor looks like one of these images below, then you'll need to replace some components before you can fly again.

Imagine that the motor has become bent to the point it will not turn. The motor must be bent again. You could use a vice grip or a pair of pliers to hold the motor while bending it back into shape. After you have completed this step, be sure to inspect the motor for any signs of wear.

Once everything is in order, attach the propeller to the motor shaft. Now you are ready to fly your drone!
